SANTIAGO ATITLAN LOT PHOTOS

The Lake Atitlan is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the WORLD, the weather is perfect, warm during the day and fresh in the night, is surrounded by volcanoes and Mayan villages, truly the paradise for inexpensive retirement. The propiety is located in the middle of the two dead volcanos here, the san pedro volcano(2975mt)is the one on the right side, the one in the left side is the Toliman Volcano(3025mts) and the propiety located at the Canton Tzanchaj in on the Toliman side, about 1 mile from Santiago Atitlan, the lake is situated at 1600m.s.n.m and about 3 hours drive from Guatemala city airport, the coffe from the Atitlan area is considered among the best in the world, the land is very fertile, avocado, corn, coffe, tomatoes, pitahaya and other crops are very common, many diferent Mayan indian villages sourrond the lake and fresh vegetables are very cheap, people is very friendly and labor is abundant and inexpensive, the local building materials (rocks) are everywere, a hand shaped rock is about US$0.20 and a labor day is pay about $10.00.

At the entrance to the property, you can see the beach at the end of the path just under the volcano San Pedro shores, the lake itself was created from a volcanic cataclism millions of years a go the bottom is about 800mts deep and the lake is sourronded by hot springs.

The trees you see here are avocado trees, they are originated in Guatemala specially in the Atitlan area.

There is some shade coffe too planted in the property.

From the road entrance you can see the lake, note the electric lines, water pases by too.

At the end of the corn field is the beach, note how small the people seems to be.
